Manage Your Deer Hunting with What You Can Control

We can’t control the weather or what a neighbor does on his property, but we can control what we do to get ready for deer season and then during our hunting trips.

Practice bow shots from stands and ground blinds. prepare your clothing with scent-free products or whatever you use. Make sure your bow is tuned, your scope is zeroed in and the ammo or arrows give you confidence. Build mock scrapes, kill plots, trim vegetation in hinge cuts or to create trails to stands. Make sure your backpack and gear is in order. Go through your hunting checklist twice to ensure all the things you can control are taken care of before you head out.
